Pattern:

CO 31 stitches.
Row 1: Knit 1 *purl 1, knit 3* repeat from * to last 2 stitches, purl 1, knit 1
Row 2: Purl all stitches
Row 3: *Knit 3, purl 1* repeat from * to last 3 stitches, knit 3
Row 4: Purl all stitches
Repeat Rows 1 - 4 until piece measures 6” from cast on edge.
Fasten off, weave in ends, & block to 6x6” square.
