These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the websites, services, and products offered by Darn Good Yarn, Inc. (“Darn Good Yarn,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including darngoodyarn.com and wholesale.darngoodyarn.com (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Eligibility & Account Access
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to purchase from the Services. If you create an account, your username is typically your email address. We do not store passwords directly; password access is managed through reset functionality. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access and for all activity under your account.
2) Orders, Pricing, and Order Acceptance
All orders are subject to acceptance by Darn Good Yarn. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at any time for reasons including, but not limited to: product availability, errors in product or pricing information, suspected fraud or abuse, issues with payment authorization, shipping restrictions, or violations of these Terms.
Pricing/Content Errors: The Services may occasionally contain typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions related to descriptions, pricing, promotions, shipping, availability, or other information. We reserve the right to correct errors and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we may cancel the order and refund the amount paid or contact you for instructions before shipment.
3) Shipping, Processing Times, and Delivery
Processing: Orders typically ship within up to 4 business days (excluding weekends and holidays), unless otherwise noted on the product page, during peak demand, or due to unforeseen operational constraints. Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed.
Risk of Loss: Risk of loss and title pass to you upon our delivery of the shipment to the carrier, to the extent permitted by law. If a package is delayed, lost, or damaged in transit, you may have remedies through the carrier and/or any shipping protection you purchased.
Shipping Protection: We may offer shipping protection through third-party providers (for example, via Redo). Any shipping protection coverage is governed by the provider’s terms and conditions. We are not the insurer and do not control coverage decisions made by the protection provider.
4) International Orders, Duties/Taxes, and Restricted Destinations
We accept international orders; however, we do not ship to certain countries, including (as of the date above) Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Brazil, Venezuela, and Cuba, and we may add or change restricted destinations from time to time in our discretion.
Duties/Taxes: For international shipments, you are responsible for any customs duties, VAT, import taxes, brokerage fees, and similar charges. We do not ship on a Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) basis unless explicitly stated. Customs policies vary widely, and you should contact your local customs office for further information.
5) Returns, Exchanges, Store Credit, and Refunds
Return Window: Unless stated otherwise on the product page, eligible items may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of delivery. Items marked Final Sale in the product description are not eligible for return, exchange, store credit, or refund.
Condition: Returned items must be in the condition required by our return process (for example, unworn/unused where applicable and in original condition), except where a return is due to a verified mistake on our part or a verified manufacturing defect.
Return Tools (e.g., Redo): We use third-party tools to facilitate returns, exchanges, and store credit. Specific options (return, exchange, store credit), labels, and fees (if any) are presented during the return flow and may vary by order, item type, and destination.
Mistakes / Defects: If we shipped the wrong item, or if you received a verified defective item, contact Customer Service at info@darngoodyarn.com. We will work with you to resolve the issue.
Abuse, Fraud, and Return Misuse: We take the integrity of our business and the fairness of our policies seriously. We reserve the right to refuse returns, exchanges, store credit, refunds, replacements, or future service if we reasonably believe a customer has engaged in return abuse or fraudulent behavior. This includes, without limitation: false claims about delivery or item condition, switching items, repeated excessive returns inconsistent with typical consumer use, use of multiple accounts to exploit policies, chargeback abuse, manipulation of promotions, or other deceptive practices. When appropriate, we may require additional verification (including photos or return of the item), impose reasonable limitations, cancel orders, revoke promotional benefits, and/or refuse service.
6) Subscriptions (Recurring & Prepaid)
Some products are offered on subscription (including recurring and/or prepaid plans). By enrolling, you authorize us (and our payment processors) to charge your payment method on the schedule and at the price disclosed at checkout (plus applicable taxes and shipping, if any).
Cancellation: You may cancel a subscription at any time, but cancellation must occur before your next scheduled charge date to avoid being charged for the next renewal. You can cancel by (a) logging into your customer portal and canceling, or (b) emailing Customer Service at info@darngoodyarn.com.
No Refunds After Charge: Subscription charges are non-refundable once processed, including charges for renewal orders that have already been billed.
Prepaid Subscriptions: Prepaid subscriptions (including annual or multi-month plans) are offered at a discounted rate. Prepaid subscriptions are not prorated, and we do not provide refunds for any unused portion after the prepaid term is charged, except where required by law or where we have made a verified error. This includes situations where a customer uses part of a prepaid term and then requests a refund for the remaining months.
Address/Payment Updates: You are responsible for keeping your billing and shipping information current. Failed payments may result in delayed shipments, skipped shipments, cancellation, and/or loss of discounts at our discretion.
7) Digital Products & Online Content
Certain items may be delivered digitally (for example, classes or digital downloads). All digital product sales are final and non-refundable once access has been provided, except where required by law or where we have made a verified error.
8) Promotions, Coupon Codes, and Gift Cards
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we honor one coupon code per order. Promotions may have additional restrictions disclosed at the time of the offer and may exclude certain items (including gift cards) or require minimum purchase thresholds.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate promotions at any time, and to refuse, cancel, adjust, or limit orders that we reasonably believe involve coupon abuse, fraud, or other violations of these Terms.
9) Authorized Sellers & Marketplace Restrictions
Purchasing from Darn Good Yarn does not make you an authorized seller of our products on Amazon or any other third-party marketplace platform. Unauthorized resale may harm customers, our brand, and our community.
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel orders, restrict quantities, revoke promotional benefits, and/or take other action if we reasonably believe you are purchasing products for unauthorized resale, diversion, or other prohibited commercial purposes.
10) User Content (Reviews, Photos, Videos) & Permissions
If you submit or post reviews, comments, photos, videos, or other content (“User Content”) through the Services or third-party tools we use (such as Judge.me), you represent that you have the rights to submit that User Content and that it does not violate any law or third-party rights.
You grant Darn Good Yarn a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, publish, distribute, and create derivative works from your User Content in connection with our business, including marketing and advertising, in any media now known or later developed. You understand that we may use your username, handle, or first name and city/state associated with your review where available.
11) Intellectual Property
The Services and all content, trademarks, logos, product designs, text, graphics, images, videos, and software are owned by or licensed to Darn Good Yarn and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, publicly display, or exploit any portion of the Services without our prior written consent.
12) Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to misuse the Services or engage in prohibited conduct, including:
- Violating any applicable law or regulation
- Engaging in fraud, deception, chargeback abuse, or coupon/promotion abuse
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts or systems
- Scraping, data-mining, reverse engineering, or interfering with the Services
- Submitting false claims to customer support or manipulating return/exchange processes
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing staff or community members
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access, cancel orders, and pursue available remedies if we believe prohibited conduct has occurred.
13) Cookie Preferences & Targeted Advertising Choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to opt out of certain data sharing for targeted advertising. You can manage cookie preferences using the control below and/or submit an opt-out request by email. 14) Disclaimers (Handmade Variance; No Warranties)
Many of our products are handmade and/or made from reclaimed materials. Variations in color, texture, weave, dye, and other characteristics are normal and are not defects. Product photos are provided for illustrative purposes and may vary by screen/display settings.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
15) Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DARN GOOD YARN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DARN GOOD YARN’S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO DARN GOOD YARN FOR THE PRODUCT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY.
16) Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Darn Good Yarn and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, your User Content, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
17) Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, Class Action Waiver, and Jury Trial Waiver
Please read this section carefully. It affects your legal rights, including your right to bring a lawsuit in court and to have a jury trial.
You and Darn Good Yarn agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Services, products, these Terms, or any communications between you and us (collectively, “Disputes”) will be resolved by binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify and remain in small claims court.
No class actions: You and Darn Good Yarn agree that each may bring claims against the other only in your or its individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person’s claims and may not preside over any form of a representative or class proceeding.
Arbitration provider & rules: Arbitration will be administered by a nationally recognized arbitration provider under its applicable consumer arbitration rules. The arbitrator will have the authority to award any relief that would otherwise be available in court, on an individual basis only.
Severability: If any part of this section is found unenforceable, the unenforceable portion will be severed and the remainder will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Waiver of jury trial: To the extent any Dispute proceeds in court rather than arbitration, you and Darn Good Yarn waive any right to a jury trial.
18) Governing Law
These Terms and any Dispute will be governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except to the extent preempted by federal law (including the Federal Arbitration Act).
19) Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top when we do. Your continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
20) Miscellaneous
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any right or provision does not constitute a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Darn Good Yarn relating to the Services and supersede prior agreements or understandings.
