The sash I received is a dark gold color. It will be great as a ponytail tie or bow. I may also use it tied to the handle of a tote bag to add some color. The sash is nice and soft.

Hi DGY, I'm a crafter, but not always a crocheter. That didn't stop me from signing up for the yarn AND crochet hook of the month subscriptions! Both are very high quality, especially the hooks!! However, I also wanted to try the sari ribbon yarn, and I also wanted to create more lighting for my couch area. I remembered I had the pattern for this lantern so I made a hanging lantern that actually lights up!! And I have enough to make another one, which I will. I did not believe this yarn would be stiff when working with it, but I was definitely wrong about that. Not a bad thing obviously, but don't use this for a soft sweater, it's far too stiff for that. But it is absolutely perfect for this project!! I used just under 3 full skeins of the bundle that I got, if anyone needs yardage info.

I actually purchased two of these ponchos—intending to give one as a gift. Now that they have arrived, I’m feeling a bit greedy. They are gorgeous in person! I think it was Miss Nicole who was wearing a beautiful one that she had had for five years in the snow. I saw it, and fell in love with the pattern. Guess what?? One of mine is in a similar pattern (Wish granted! Thank you awesome team at Darn Good Yarn!). The other one (the gift I’m feeling a bit covetous of) is in a gorgeous black floral pattern. Boho elegance to the max!!
The poncho has a bit of mystery to it. When I wear it in the house I am at the perfect temperature (I am one of those people who are always cold). Yet, when I wear it outside on a chilly morning, I am still at the perfect temperature for me. It doesn’t quite make sense to me, but I love that quality about it. I live in So Cal so I haven’t tested it in snow, but it keeps me comfy cozy
no matter the temperature here!
I am so grateful for the sale that made it possible for me to buy two. Now…fingers crossed that I do give the beautiful black floral patterned one away as a gift!

I've been getting the yarn of the month for awhile now. I got it to help me stretch my comfort zone when it comes to colors. Every month I get beautiful yarn, a booklet with a couple of patterns, and an extra surprise item. I can skip a month if I want (but I rarely do that). I've had a lot of fun putting this yarn together with some of my yarn stash or mixing them together to make something.

I don't know if I'm just umagining it, but it seems like maybe Nicole has gotten to know me and my tastes?? whenever I open a package from DGY now, I feel immediately seen and understood. Really nice color choices, thank you! Now I will say that the POCKET on this poncho is pretty **** placed as low as it is. Maybe I will get used to it with wear. Also, I am a fabric fanatic and would really really really appreciate knowing the percentages. All I can find is that the poncho is a "wool and acrylic blend." Thats fine, but how much of each please?
