How to Knit: Braided Ribbing

Gauge: Stockinette | 4" = 20 Stitches | 12 Rows

Yarn: Medium Weight Yarn

Knitting Needle Size: US 9 (or size to achieve gauge)

Stitches worked over a multiple of 5 + 2

Abbreviations:

CO - Cast on

Tbl – through the back loop

Pattern:

CO 32 stitches.
Row 1: Purl 2 *knit 1, knit the second stitch tbl, knit the first stitch, purl 2, repeat from * to end
Row 2: Knit 2 *purl 1, purl the second stitch, purl the first stitch, knit 2, repeat from * to end
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 until piece measures 6” from cast on edge.
Bind off, weave in ends, & block to 6x6” square.
