The colors are so lusciously vivid.

I bought this kit for the yarn. The pattern does look very cool though, and I'll probably try it some day. I knitted a little rainbow braid bracelet with the yarn to test out its consistency. Here's a picture with it next to the same knit in worsted malabrigo. In comparison, the DGY yarn is slightly chunkier and much more shape-able. This is my first time knitting with DGY yarn, and I love it! The yarn is so soft, and it makes the tips of my fingers feel soft after I've been working with it. I'm not sure why, but it has a light perfumed scent that just makes me think "silk and soap" (I'm normally sensitive to perfume smells, but this doesn't bother me. It's actually something I like about the yarn.) Another thing I love about this yarn is the way the colors change: it's not a repeating pattern like all the other colorway yarns I've used. The next color is always a surprise. And the colors are so lusciously vivid and beautiful... I can't get over them. I sometimes knit while watching tv, but I won't do that with this yarn. I don't want to miss a moment of these colors coming together.
