Foundation
Ch 24 or any even number of sts to measure 6” and add 4 more chains for the foundation.
Row 1: sk5 ch sts, 1dc into the 6th ch from the hook, 1dc in the 5th ch from the hook (first cross st made). *Sk next ch st, 1dc in next ch st, 1dc in the skipped st. Repeat from * across until last st. 1dc into the last st.
Row 2: ch3 (counts as a dc st), turn, *sk 1 st, 1dc in the next st, 1dc in skipped st. Repeat from * across until the last st. 1dc in last st (turning ch).
Repeat Row 2 for a total of 9 rows.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
