Help Build a Safe Home for Children in the Philippines: Support the Zeteo Project

At Darn Good Yarn, we believe creativity, renewal, and hope belong to everyone. Today I’m sharing a cause that’s deeply personal. My good friend is part of an incredible nonprofit called Zeteo, through Inheritance Fire (in-fire.org). Their mission is as urgent as it is courageous: rescuing children in the Philippines — many just 1 to 3 years old — from unimaginable exploitation and neglect, and surrounding them with safety, care, and a future.

Zeteo Project: caring community supporting rescued children in the Philippines
Zeteo is building a safer, higher-ground home so kids can heal, learn, and grow.

Why this matters right now

These children have survived what no child should ever face. They were sold and trafficked, neglected for weeks, months — even years. Some survived attempts on their lives and were treated as products instead of people. Zeteo meets them with safety, counseling, education, nutrition, and everyday moments of joy that rebuild childhood.

But their current building floods repeatedly. Every storm threatens stability, therapy, school time, and the simple predictability kids need to heal. Zeteo is raising funds for a new, secure home on higher ground — with dry rooms, safe spaces to play, and classrooms where hope can take root.

Recovery starts with safety, routine, and love — the new home will protect all three.

From me, Nicole: I’ve seen firsthand how the right support turns fear into possibility. My friend’s work with Zeteo shows what’s possible when a community says “not on our watch.” If Darn Good Yarn has ever inspired you with stories of renewal, please consider turning that spark into action today.

  • Children rescued at 1–3 years old receive safety, therapy, and education.
  • Current home floods, disrupting care and schooling.
  • Funds build a new, dry, secure home on higher ground.
  • Every gift — $10, $25, $100 — moves walls and hearts.

Your generosity helps build a home where childhood can be restored.

They need a new home — and our help.

From my heart — thank you for reading, sharing, and giving.
