Please note that this Mystery listing applies to our beautiful neutral skirts :)
What's so special about these skirts?
Each skirt is handmade by our co-ops in India out of recycled sari's and turned into the beautiful finished skirt you see. With your help, these artisans are able to sustain year-round employment. Once we receive these skirts at our warehouse, the wonderful individuals at the Schenectady ARC then pack your order and ship it right to your doorstep. In purchasing these skirts you are not only doing good in your backyard but also around the world.
With global stewardship in mind, we use manufacturer's remnants and sari seconds that would normally go into landfills to make these skirts. Due to the recycled nature, each skirt is one of a kind and we expect them to have small, unique imperfections. Sometimes they’re a little more “unique” than we expect so rather than send them back, leaving a carbon footprint, we’ve decided to sell them to you at a discounted price. These skirts are completely wearable, functional, and beautiful!
Wash skirts in cold water in a mesh bag and put in the dryer on a low/medium heat. Due to the handmade nature of our product, the skirt you receive may have natural wear and tear. Please keep in mind that this product is made of the traditional Indian sari. Typically, these skirts are made of an 80% silk and 20% polyester blend. For more information on how our skirts are made check out this blog post.
For example, our skirts come in 2 different lengths and our approximations are based off a 5' 6" woman who is a size 8.
Above the knee (the skirt will fall approximately 1-3" above the knee cap))
Ankle Length (the skirt will fall around the ankle)
*Due to the awesome price on these skirts, each skirt is final sale, meaning no returns or exchanges. Images shown are not inclusive of the patterns or lengths you may receive.
