Don't worry, we've got you covered! We've got a super cute and easy crochet bee pattern!
Materials
- Yellow, black, and white worsted weight yarn (or other colors if you want a gorgeous eclectic bee)
- 5mm crochet hook
- Stuffing (I like using any yarn or fabric scraps I have left laying around)
The Body
Using yellow yarn
Make magic ring
Row 1: ch1 , 6 sc into mr. pull ring taught. Slst to join. (6 sts)
Row 2: ch1 , 2 sc into each st around. Slst to join. (12 sts)
Row 3: ch1 , *1 sc, 2sc into next st* *repeat around. Slst to join. (18 sts)
Row 4: ch1 , *2 sc, 2sc into next st* *repeat around. Slst to join. (24 sts)
Row 5-8: ch1 , sc around. Slst to join. (24 sts)Break yarn
Attach black yarn at join.
Row 9-10: ch1, sc around. Slst to join
Break yarn
Attach yellow yarn at join
Row 11-12: ch1, sc around. Slst to join.
Break yarn
Attach black yarn at join.
Repeat rows 9-10
Break yarn
Attach yellow yarn at join
Row 15: ch1, sc around. sl st to join
Row 16: ch1, *Sc2tog, 2 sc* *repeat around, slst to join. (17 sts)
Break yarn
Attach black yarn at join.
Row 17: ch1, sc around. sl st to join
Row 18: ch1, *sc2tog, sc* *repeat around, slst to join. (11 sts)
Break yarn
Attach yellow yarn at join
Row 19: ch1, sc around. sl st to join.
Stuff your bee
Row 20: ch1, *sc2tog, sc* *repeat around, slst to join (7 sts)
Break yarn
Attach black yarn at join.
Row 21: ch1, sc around. Slst to join.
Row 22: ch1, *sc2tog* * repeat around. Sl st to join. (4sts)
Finishing The Body
Break yarn leaving a 4” tail. Weave yarn through all 4 sts, sinch closed, secure yarn.
Weave in all ends.
Use black yarn to embroider a face onto your bee.
Wings
Using white yarn, create a slip knot.
To create base: Insert hook between under one st on row 11, slst. *Insert hook under the next st, slst.* *Repeat 2x more times.
Row 1: Ch1, sc across (4sts).
Repeat row 1 until wind is desired length,
Row 2: 2HDC into second st from hook, 3 HDC into next st. Slst into final ch st below.Break yarn, fasten off, weave in ends.
Skip 2 sts on row 11, then repeat the above process for the second wing.
