What do you wear under a see through kaftan?

Written by Cat Brady

So you wanna wear your Kaftan but itโ€™s a little see through? We have got you covered (no pun intended ๐Ÿ˜Š). Here are some options to wear underneath a Kaftan.

Black and white long kaftan

The best part of wearing a Kaftan dress is how airy and comfortable it is. An effortless outfit to throw on but still look dressed up. So to make sure you keep that airy feel, wear a slip dress underneath your see-through kaftan. We suggest wearing one that is a neutral color or the same color as the Kaftan you are trying to wear. This way the slip-dress wonโ€™t be seen.

If you would like a little more coverage but still want to stay cool underneath your dress, we suggest you wear it with a matching tank top + bike short combo. Again, it would be best to wear a neutral color or a color that matches the kaftan. This is perfect for someone on the move but still wants to look cute.

Once cold weather rolls around, layering up under your kaftan is not only essential, itโ€™s a style moment. Wear it with leggings, a long sleeve tee and some boots to winterize this typically summer outfit. Black leggings are always our got-too, but they might be harsh underneath a see-through Kaftan. Try lighter colors like beige, white or gray.

If youโ€™d like less coverage, wearing it with just your under garments is definitely not out of the question. Neutral underwear is your best friend. Try a high waisted panty and a t-shirt bra.

ย Never shy away from wearing an outfit because it may be a little see-through. Try these tips above to get the most coverage underneath your favorite Kaftan.ย  And donโ€™t forget, tag us on social @darngoodyarn to show us how you styled a Kaftan.
