I started Darn Good Yarn® when I discovered recycled silk yarn. I was instantly transfixed. At the time, I was a new knitter. I loved how it hid my mistakes and gave my project this organic look that was full of color. It wasn’t long before I discovered that the people who made this yarn desperately needed a way to make a stable and safe living.

Since 2008, Darn Good Yarn® has saved over 2 million pounds of material waste and turned it back into our crafting and clothing products; we have served as a bridge between our 600+ artisans around the globe and our customers; and we’ve worked hard with our supplier network to create safe and sustainable jobs that are truly Darn Good™.

Usually, I feel kind of meh about them and have considered canceling, but I have sold some or gifted them to others. The last two hit it out of the park, so I will continue my subscription. I love the sari wrapped skirts! I ordered in a 2 for 1 sale. When the order arrived I received just 1 skirt…I contacted customer service and they found that I ordered incorrectly. They showed me my mistake….yet mailed me the 2nd skirt! I was so happy. It was my mistake/not theirs yet they corrected it anyway and emailed me an order form illustrating how to do it correctly the next time! I was SO happy with their great customer service.

I waited so impatiently for this to arrive, was so afraid it would be something I didn't like. I was so wrong, I absolutely 💯 percent love it. Colors are wonderful ,on both sides. Really like getting the card with name of Goddess for each one. Have been stopped a few times by people asking about it and have told all about your website.
