Love the idea of glow in the dark yarn! I ordered the blue and the yellow to make hats for my husband, son and myself!
It warms our hearts to read your review
I bouglow ability. of white with the idea of making a glow in the dark Keychain that will help me find my keys at the bottom of my bag.
One skein was enough to make 2 small keychains and a scrunchie.
This yarn is very stiff! I picked a pattern with a tight stitch and, combined with the stiff yarn, it prohibits actual scrunching. lol. It does well as a decoration around a pony but cannot hold one. My fail but I will try again with the next skeins.
To consider:
1. The yarn is coated tonglow. It does not slide off the hook easily.
2. It is so stiff!!!!
3. It took several hours under a light to glow even the slightest. It will probably do great under a black light. My keys will remain lost in my bag.
4. The skeins are small. It would be the best choice aren't for big projects. It would be a cool yarn to use on amigurumi. Maybe an alien with glowing eyes.
5. Back to the coating- I wouldn't use this on anything that needs regular laundering. It think it would impact the glowability.
I don't regret my purchase. It was a fun evening if yarn experiments. I quite enjoyed myself even if my artistic vision failed.
