Yarn of the Month Club FAQs

Q: So... I get to help people and I get new projects every month? How do I sign up?

After you click "Add to Cart", the first month will be added to your cart, and will auto-renew on a monthly basis. (Nervous about the commitment? Scroll down a bit for our skipping and cancellation policies). After purchase you will receive an e-mail confirmation with your order details. First time buyers should expect to receive their first shipment within 2 weeks after they placed their order.

Q: Even though this is a great deal, can I still use coupon codes?

Unless specified, Darn Good Yarn coupon codes are for non-subscription products. However, sometimes we offer special discounts on the subscription itself so be on the lookout! Karma points cannot be used towards the purchase of a subscription.

Q: What comes each month?

Every month you will receive one premium skein of yarn and access to a curated set of knit & crochet patterns, all hand chosen by the Darn Good Yarn team and access to our exclusive member dashboard.

Q: Can I choose what fibers I get?

Unfortunately you can not choose which yarn you receive. We do try our very best to choose yarn that is hypoallergenic, and can be used by everyone!

Q: How long do I have to wait? How much does shipping cost?

Each shipment usually arrives 5-7 days after your order has left our warehouse for domestic members, or 7-10 days for international members. Shipping for domestic members costs $3.95/month. International shipping varies based on your Country. After you place your first order, you should expect your shipment within 2 weeks.

Q: What can I find on the members-only dashboard?

As a Yarn of the Month® club member you'll receive exclusive deals available only on the members-only dashboard.

Check back often as these deals sell out quickly so don't miss out!

You can also manage your subscription from the dashboard. Edit your billing & shipping address, update payment information, change your charge date, and more.

Q: What if I get busy and don't have room for more yarn (is that possible?)?

We understand that life gets hectic sometimes. You can skip a month anytime you'd like, and pick up where you left off whenever you're ready. If you need to, you can cancel at any time - we'll be sorry to see you go! In terms of cancellations, please be sure to cancel before your re-bill date! **Please note, this option is not available on the annual subscription.

Q: Can I make a return or exchange?

Due to the awesome discount, we do not accept returns or exchanges. All subscription sales are final.

Q: I'd love to share this with friends. Can I order this as a gift?

Yes! You can purchase a 12 month gift subscription that won't auto-renew once the prepaid period is up. This will be a great gift for the fiber artist in your life!
