DIY: How to Make a Yarn Necklace

Step By Step:

Step 1: Gather your materials
● Yarn & Ribbon 5 color sample card
● Glue gun and glue stick
● 6 inches of 20 gauge jewelry wire
● Jewelry making pliers
● Necklace Chain

Step 1: Gather Materials

Step 2: Measure the jewelry wire at 2 inches

Step 3: Place your pliers at the 2 inches mark, and bend the wire inwards

Step 3

Step 4: Measure 2 inches again of the base of the wire

Step 4

Step 5: Place your pliers at the 2 inches mark, and agin bend the wire inwards to form a triangle

Step 5

Step 6: Using the glue gun, glue the tips together

Step 6

Step 7: Place glue on the wire, and then wrap the yarn around it

Step 7

Step 8: Cover one entire side with yarn. If you have remaining yarn you can cut it, or go backwards and wrap the yarn around twice

Step 8

Step 9: Repeat on the other side with another color

Step 9

Step 10: Repeat on the last side with another color

Step 10

Step 11: Insert your necklace thru the triangle, and you’re all done!!
