Welcome back to another edition of Color Swatches For The Soul, where we are taking a closer look at the symbolism of shades, and how to set the mood for your craft projects, fashion, and lifestyle with color psychology! Today we’re looking at Coral Pink.

The color red symbolizes action, passion, intensity, and in some cases, even aggression. Red is a color of making movements and grabbing attention, come what may! Red can often play the bounds between excitement and alarm, while darker shades signal a steadier, more rooted sense of firmness, and lighter shades represent an experimental, or interactive sense of engagement!

Coral is a bold, social, and confident shade of pink! This color sings to party and event planners, and loves to gather people in fun settings. It can also be a very informative color, lending itself to conferences and workshops. The orange tint to this color gives it an extra boost of confidence, while the strong but light red is ready to take action.
How To Use Coral Pink In Your Craft Projects
Coral Pink is the perfect shade to use for gathering your friends, and bringing together a sense of community. This shade is best used in large color blocks, or with a delicate pattern within it. Thin stripes and polka dots with Coral are very high-energy, and can be gorgeously rosey to some, or just overwhelming to others. Coral Pink can be used for hand-crocheted friendship necklaces, knitting baby blankets for your baby shower gifts, putting together care packages, favors, and of course, bridesmaids!
Color Palettes For Coral Pink
Coral Pink matches well with creams, tans, and whites. It can blend nicely with powder blues, ivy greens, dusty purples, and pale yellows, too! Watch out for pairings with Coral Pink and navy blue, as they might clash and fight for space, at least if not used carefully. Coral can also make for an airy and energized palette when used with white or ivory and a minty-spring green, or stay in its home base with its fellow reds and oranges.
