My Favorite Scoodie | Hooded Scarf Crochet Pattern

I love scoodies! These strange scarf -hood hybrids are perfect for surviving freezing temperatures and they look so cute! What’s better than a cute fantasy-inspired hood that keeps your head and neck from freezing?! This pattern is super easy and you can work it up within one day!

Materials 


5 cakes (230 grams // 360 yards) of Sparkle Worsted Weight Silk Yarn or  Silk Roving Worsted Weight Yarn
5.5 mm crochet hook 
Scissors
Yarn Needle

Abbreviations


CO: Cast on
CH(s): Chain(s)
HDC: Half double crochet
ST(S): Stitch(es)
BO: Bind off

Let's Get Started!


Row 1: Co and ch 230
Row 2: Ch 2 & turn. Make a  hdc in the 3rd sts from the hook and continue hdc for the whole row
Row 3-18 : Repeat row 2
Once you’ve gotten to row, do not fasten off! We’re going to start off the hoodie without BO!

Row 19:  Ch 2 & turn. Make a  hdc in the 3rd sts from the hook and continue hdc for 70 sts total
Row 20-41: Repeat row 19
BO, leaving a long tail for sewing

Assembly 


Laying the work flat, sew both short ends of the scarf together.

With the rectangle laying flat, fold the corner ends in to create a triangle. Sew the sides together using the long tail

And boom! You have your very own scoodie!
