Crochet Moon Belt | Easy Crochet Tutorial

Materials


3.2 5mm / D-3 crochet hook
1 skein of Lace Weight Silk Yarn- Black 
1 skein of Lace Weight Silk Yarn- Any colorway other than black. I’m using Sparkle White.
Scissors
Darning Needle
Beads (optional)

Abbreviations


CO: Cast on
CH(s): Chain(s)
HDC: Half double crochet
SK: Skip
SLST: Slip stitch
BO: Bind off

Notes


Read the colors as:
B: Black
W: Sparkle White
For rounds: all sts are half double crochets. Read the rounds as: 2 B / 2 W / 2 B / 2 W / 2 B
Hdc 2 sts in black, 2 hdc  in white, 2 hdc in black, 2 hdc in white, 2 hdc in black. Ch 1 and turn.
Length w/ tassels: 62 inches
Length w/o the tassels:  35 inches
Width: 1 1/2 inches
You can make your belt longer or shorter by adding or removing  rows of plain black hdc, like rows 2-20 at the beginning and end of your belt.

Row 2: Sk the first st and hdc the row for 9 sts, ch 1, and turn. 
Row 3 -20:Repeat row 2

Row 128:Hdc2tog on the first and last sts, with the center sts being regular hdc. Ch 1 and turn 
Row 129-130-: Repeat row 101 until you have one remaining st, creating a point by hdc3tog.

Go back to the beginning of your work and slst into the edge
Sc 9 times down the foundation ch
Repeat Row 128-130 and BO

Belt Tie


Cut 12 strands of yarn that are 12 inches long.
Take 6  strands, fold them in half and feed them through the top of your belt, creating a larks head knot. Repeat this on the other side of the belt. You can leave the tassels bare, or you can bind them together using some beads to add a little bling to your belt.
