Notes:
This sleeve fits most standard sized wine bottles and beer bombers (750 mls). For smaller bottles, simply reduce the intial CO count and total number of rows. For larger bottles, increase the intial CO count and total number of rows. Please note a second skein is necessary for increasing the sleeve size.
Not a wine or beer fan? This sleeve is perfect for specialty oils and vases too!
When seaming the edges together, take gentle care. This yarn does not have a strong tensile strength.
White gauge isn’t critical with this project, each row should be approximately 7 in. wide. CO more or less stitches as necessary to adjust your rows to this width.
Instructions:
CO 18
R1:*K2, P2*. Repeat between *’s until the end of the row.
R2:*P2, K2*. Repeat between *’s until the end of the row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until project is about 14 inches long. Bind off loosely.
Fasten and seam long edges together, forming a sleeve.
Finish with a bow, or if you have left over yarn, you can create an i-cord or braid tie.
