What's so special about these skirts?
Each skirt is handmade by our co-ops in India out of recycled sari's and turned into the beautiful finished skirt you see. With your help, these artisans are able to sustain year-round employment. Once we receive these skirts at our warehouse, the wonderful individuals at the Schenectady ARC then pack your order and ship it right to your doorstep. In purchasing these skirts you are not only doing good in your backyard but also around the world.
Wash skirts in cold water in a mesh bag and put in the dryer on a low/medium heat. Due to the handmade nature of our product, the skirt you receive may have natural wear and tear. Please keep in mind that this product is made of the traditional Indian sari. Typically, these skirts are made of an 80% silk and 20% polyester blend. For more information on how our skirts are made check out this blog post.
Please note these skirts come in assorted colors & lengths, so if there are specific colors and/or lengths you are hoping for, please leave us notes in the comments section at checkout!
For example, our skirts come in 2 different lengths and our approximations are based off a 5' 6" woman who is a size 8. Please note, these measurements do not include the junior skirts. The junior skirts are shorter and made based off a child's height.
Above the knee (the skirt will fall approximately 1-3" above the knee cap)
