1 Pound of Recycled Sari Fabric (plus 3 oz)

I just received my recycled sari 1lb fabric bundle! It actually weighed in at 1lb3oz!Inside of one perfect recycled sari drawstring bag were 5 flawed lg/xl partial mini wrap skirt panels & 3 detached wrap skirt waistbands. Each of the skirts has irregular top and/or bottom edges, some lovely borders but typically not spanning the full bottom edge and one has printed advertising material on the fabric, so none are ready to stitch straight into a mini wrap skirt, but that was never my plan! They do need washing, but will make great projects including very easily some doll skirts, hopefully some of the waistband sections could easily have a strip of elastic pulled through a cut section and then get seamed up for some scrunchies, I hope! Also, I'm a big jeweltones and neutrals fan, so these colors are just wonderful for me!

Cute quilting squares

These are adorable. Will use them for the border of a lap quilt. Really soft and durable.

Lovely surprise

I did an impulse add to my curtain order to get the recycled sari fabric set. It came with a beautiful, silk duster in my favorite color (!) and also two long, lovely pieces of silk material. I like draping the blue silk material over my chair by the window for a pop of color while I decide what to create from it. The 8 year old I babysit likes to put the checkered red piece over his head like a robe hood and call himself a Jedi. Who am I kidding, I do the same thing sometimes. Haha. Theres just something so lovely about pieces of beautiful fabric. They give generous pieces and they dont have tears or other imperfections.
