Meet Nicole
I started Darn Good Yarn® when I discovered recycled silk yarn. I was instantly transfixed. At the time, I was a new knitter. I loved how it hid my mistakes and gave my project this organic look that was full of color. It wasn’t long before I discovered that the people who made this yarn desperately needed a way to make a stable and safe living.
Since 2008, Darn Good Yarn® has saved over 2 million pounds of material waste and turned it back into our crafting and clothing products; we have served as a bridge between our 600+ artisans around the globe and our customers; and we’ve worked hard with our supplier network to create safe and sustainable jobs that are truly Darn Good™.

I look forward to the Yarn of the Month delivery every month! It’s fun to see the different color variations, textures and weights. The latest was a lace weight that will make a beautiful scarf or a pair of fingerless mittens.

I joined the Yarn of the Month club and am always delighted to receive a shipment! Each shipment is different! Even though you know that you will receive three skeins of yarn, the color and weight is a surprise. And they always include patterns and an extra item that is related to the pattern.
