Colleen joined Darn Good Yarn as our Graphic Designer in the Winter 2019, helping us create concise and appealing visual branding in everything from our advertisements to our packaging. She can be found spending her Friday nights in her cozy living room working on her illustrations or crafts. On Saturdays you can find her scoping out the best brunch restaurant followed by a day of hiking in the Adirondacks or exploring the Capital Region.
Your previous experience before DGY:
Colleen earned her Bachelor of Science in Studio Art from Skidmore College, where she also a member of the art event creating club ProArts.
What about the mission of DGY hits home for you and why?
Darn Good Yarn’s dedication to creating ethical products really inspires me. In a world where we often don’t know where our everyday products are made it is wonderful to know that the products we create are handmade or recycled and created by people with fair and sustainable Careers.
What is your favorite DGY product and why?
My favorite DGY product is the Sari Skirts. I love how bold and unique the patterns are. I can wear a Sari Skirt knowing that no one else will have this same skirt because each one is one of a kind.
