The Resolution Lace Scarf
February 11, 2011
UPDATED! 3-12-2011
Hi friends,
Bridgett over at http://ramblingdesigns.blogspot.com/ created a wonderful and I mean wonderful scarf out of my Recycled Resolutions Silk Yarn. She said, “girl, you really need somethiing lacey at Darn Good Yarn”. I really can’t disagree. So lucky for us she whipped up this awesome scarf.
Brilliant, don’t you think?!
Enjoy!
xoxo

Abbreviations:
co= cast on
k= knit stitch/es
p= purl stitch/es
sl= slip stitch/es, at beginning of row always sl as if to k
yo= yarn over
yo2= yarn over twice (throughout the pattern you will always purl the first loop of this double yarn
over and knit the second!)
ssk= slip two stitches as if to knit, then knit those two stitches together through back loop
k2/3tog= knit the next two/three stitches together
sssk: slip next 3 stitches as if to knit, then knit those 3 stitches together through back loop
st= stitch/es
LH= left hand
RH= right hand
k2togtbl= knit 2 st together through back loop
m1= pick up from back to front the horizontal string going between the just worked stitch and the next
stitch to be worked, place on LH needle, k this new loop through back of loop.
Notes: Throughout the pattern the first stitch in every RS AND WS row, sl1, the second stitch is always
a k stitch, these two stitches make the side borders is slipped as if to knit. In the WS rows all yo2 are
always p first loop and k second loop of yo2. All single yo are always p.
WS rows in the pattern are written for the StSt version as pictured.
You can alternatively make a Garter stitch version: p all stitches (except the second loop of the yo2) .
Making the scarf in garter stitch (k all but the first loop of yo2) will make it reversible!

Woot woot!
Looking forward to kniting this scarf. Question? If only the RS has instructions, am I to assume that the WS is identical?
I don’t see anything for row 6 in the instructions.
Here you go: R6: sl1, k1, p4, k2
Please help me!!!
What is meant by worsted weight and aran yarn.
This might sound foolish but are they 2 different yarns I would really appreciate an answer. Thanks so much for whomever answers my question.

Looking for a scarf pattern that you knit and then pull it to make it longer. I knew if anyone knew it would be you. I have made over a dozen patterns for family and friends who love them Thank you.
That is correct and I don’t know what website I use except except Cross Country by Shaw
Hi there, I have a question on The resolution lace scarf on th second tip R3:….sssk, do I have to slip 3times? and on
R7: do I have to knit to last 7 sts? Im learning knitting. Thank you very much for your help!
I need help with the yo ssk stitches.
Can anyone explain to me how it is done?
Thanks
When I do the yarn over and i try to knit the ssk in the back loop i lose my yarn over stitch so then i’am one stitch short. Do i put the yarn over toward the back or the frony?
