If I'm going to spend significant money on nice ribbon for a necklace I really don't want cheap/plain ribbon clamps. I can only find something as large as 1.5" long... nothing longer. And they are all rather "thin". Nothing wide. Absolutely no luck finding something in sterling silver. An no luck in stainless. Everything is plated and that sucks.
