Lazy Lace Scarf

February 23, 2011

The Recycled Resolution I used to make the 1st half of my scarf!

Hi friends!

Ah yes, even at the ripe old age of 28 my hands will ache after a day of updating the website, answering emails and just plain ol’ typing. I thought it was just me until I got a request earlier this week to produce a simple-easy-on-the-hands scarf that had a lacy effect. Now here by popular demand: The Lazy Lace Scarf!

Check the video out:

P.S.  Simple instructions below

What you need

2-100g skeins of Recycled Resolution-click to check it out (this will produce a nice ample scarf that you can wrap around your neck once or twice)

Size 6 needles--this is as small as I would go, but you could use any size up to 13′s that you’re comfortable with or that you grab first:)

Instructions:

CO 10 sts

Row 1: *K1, YO, YO* repeat between the *’s until you have 1 stitch left on your row. You just have to knit that.

Row 2 *K1, Drop the YO, Drop the YO* repeat between the *’s until you have 1 stitch left, just knit that.

A note, please watch video above if you’re not quite certain what’s going on here, I show you how to master it. Don’t be afraid to just drop those yarn overs right off your needle just be certain you’re not dropping your knit stitch too. Then you will really have a dropped stitch!

Now when you get the length you want for the scarf, bind off. Oh how soft don’t you think?

And if you need to print it off, download the one page printer friendly pdf here: http://www.darngoodyarn.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/Lazy-Lace-Scarf.pdf
