I have ribbon yarn and I would like to make
The shawl.
Can I Make the shawl in one piece instead of doing
It in two pieces?
Also in the where it says k1, yo yo.
Do I do this in the rest of the row k1,Toyota?
Thanks

I've been doing this same idea (same down to even the drop stitch!), but with one difference. I create 2 "armholes" by binding off stitches, then casting them back on the next row. You have to kind of guesstimate when to do them, but you want them the width of your shoulders apart. Also, I start the binding off 2-3" from what will be the neck edge, and make the armhole about 10-12" long, so you have about 8-11" below the armhole. This give you the full 24" across your back and for the two pieces hanging down in front. You can fold back the two center edges for a lapel effect, or cross them and use a nice shawl pin to secure them, of just let them hang.

I've used some of the eye lash yarns, and some mohair on 15s and can hardly wait to see what it looks like in the Bahamas sari silk yarn on 19s.
