Free Drawstring Purse Pattern Using Recycled Sari Silk Yarn – Darn Good Yarn
March 3, 2013
Darn Good Yarner Stephanie took a free pattern from Ravelry, added DGY’s Recycled Sari Silk yarn, added her own flair, and came up with a gorgeous drawstring bag for her friend! This bag really shows the versatility of recycled sari silk yarn, and how fantastic it looks knitted up into a utilitarian item.
It totally looks like the perfect hiking bag, am I right? Here’s the pattern on Ravelry. Stephanie added some changes like making the bag larger, adding a strap, and lining the bag. Here’s a great closeup of her finished project:
Stunning, eh?
I love how intuitive it is to work with the sari silk, and making little changes like these really personalize a project. So, are you going to make this bag? If so, let Jen know so we can post them up on facebook. Lovin’ it!
