ABOUT TO BLOOM: A VERSATILE WRAP
February 5, 2012
Hi friends!
Some may know, I live in Maine. It gets a little chilly. So when I needed a wrap, I was inspired to make spring come a little sooner for me— and it had to be made of 100% reclaimed materials too! That’s when I designed this easy wrap. But it’s really about the embellishments and the different ways you can wear it. Simple strands of multicolored reclaimed silk ribbon sprinkled around like wildflower seeds that are just “about to bloom”.
You will need:
3 skeins of Darn Good Yarn’s Recycled Silk Sari Ribbon—be sure to get the skeins with a 180 ft per skein-find them here: http://tiny.cc/lax7x . (If you ever have questions just email me nicole@darngoodyarn.com)
I used Vintage Lace, First Kiss, and Pomegranate Pleasure.
1 skein of At the Bahamas
Size US 19 needles

Love love your funky design
I can hardly wait to create my own
Wonderful yarn. Unfortunately, I live in England. I haven’t seen anything similar over here. I don’t hunk the pattern will be as funky in other yarn
Good news, Pat. DGY ships for a flat rate to England! If you have a local yarn shop you like to frequent, ask them to think about stocking DGY there, since I know there are many others who are looking for these funky yarns. Get some friends together and place a big order, because you’ll save so much on shipping charges.
