Yes, it’s been far too long since we’ve had a contest on the site. What have I been doing? Oh, I don’t know…sipping margaritas… perhaps.
Those of you die-hard Darn Good Yarn-ers know I’ve posted this question in the past on facebook but I want to make a top 10 list of places where you get your crafting inspiration from. So, where do you get your best crafting inspiration from?
The contest will go from 8-11-2010 until 9-10-2010.

Here is the kit to get you going
It’s a one skein knitting contest. Here are the rules, you can only use one ball of DGY’s Premium Recycled Silk (100g) and US size 11 needles. Create an original pattern, submit the pattern with a few pictures of your craft. If you can incorporate recycled items (like plastic bottle caps as buttons that’s cool too!).
The stipulation I have is that I can use it in our new line of kits but you will get props as the creator!
I’m going to choose a winner by the end of third week of July. The winner will be announced and will get a $50 gift certificate to Darn Good Yarn.
