I just depends how many stitches you have on your needle. if you have an odd number like 13 then you can start each row in knit:)... Although I have one question, you say its moss stitch and to k1 p1 all the way through but I thought that moss stitch was k1 p1 (odd rows) then p1 k1 (even rows).
